Aaron Hernandez : Ex-NFL star charged with Florida shooting

Convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez was indicted Monday for allegedly shooting a witness to the Boston killings of two men in which the former New England Patriots star is charged.

Hernandez will now face a charge of witness intimidation for the non-fatal shooting of an associate who was allegedly present at the double murder.

The name of the witness has not been released, but police said the person was shot in the face on Feb. 13, 2013 in Florida and left to die on the side of the road.
Alexander Bradley, an associate of Hernandez, has filed a lawsuit against the former Patriots tight end for a shooting on that same date.

If convicted Hernandez could face up to 10 years in prison for this charge alone. He is also facing two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of armed assault with intent to murder, and single counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm related to the original shooting.
